For the first time since the two years I’ve been playing from the white tees I shot in the 70s! It’s about time too, two years worth of frustration and grinding made it feel like a lifetime, but what I really wanted to tell you guys is that it wasn’t a perfect round. I always thought that one day I would have this untouchable round where everything would be perfect, but that’s not really how it works. I three putted two birdie putts twice on the front nine and kept pulling my drives on the back nine, but what really kept my game together was pitching and chipping. The weekend before my coach had me keep track of where I lost the most strokes, and it turns out I lost about nine with my short game. So, we worked on that and it shaved off some extra strokes and boom, lower score. It’s kind of crazy how it all works, but I just think you should know that you don’t have to be perfect to shoot you lowest score. Stay tuned for next week, thanks for reading!
